NERVES...My nerves are definitely getting to me... I have my first race in over a year this Sunday, and I definitely don't feel ready. I am still trying to make my triumphant return after pregnancy, but running seems to take a backseat to hanging out with my daughter. She is just so darn cute and distracting. When is it appropriate to start running with her in the BOB? If I ran with her maybe my amount of runs a week will be upped. Back to this weekend though... I am running the Bridge to Brews 8k, and even though it's only 5 miles, it's more than I've run at once in over a year. Yes, I have run a marathon before, but that was pre-baby. Since baby the most I've run is 4.5 miles. So I'm close! But dang am I slow. I need to remind myself that this is a training run that is like a dress rehearsal. It leads to my next race, a 10k in May, and then the next one, a half in June. They all link together. I can do it. I've done it before, and I'll do it again. Just keep swimming, right Dory? We'll see just how this all goes. I will definitely have thoughts focused on the prize... runDisney domination!!!
Just keep swimming :)
